Hi, I’m Cara A’court — author, editor, and writing coach based in beautiful Northumberland. At home, I share life with a lively menagerie: two dogs, two guinea pigs, a tortoise, a bird, a fish named George… and of course, my wife.

Stories are at the heart of everything I do. Whether I’m crafting my own novels, polishing someone else’s words, or guiding a writer through the creative process, I’m passionate about helping stories grow and shine.

As an editor, I bring a careful eye and a kind heart. I work closely with writers to shape their manuscripts, focusing on structure, voice, and clarity, while always honouring their vision.

As a coach, I offer support and accountability for writers at every stage. From first seed to final bloom, I’m here to help you stay motivated, build confidence, and develop your craft.
